Great player for the price
For the price, I think this is an excellent blu-ray player. It also does very good with DVD up-conversion and makes DVDs look fantastic. The player has worked reliably for me so far and hasn't had any problems with any of the movies I've thrown at it. As with all blu-ray players, it's slow getting ready to play a movie when you first put it in. It's usually takes 30 seconds until you get to the menu screen, but that's the blu-ray standard for you. The player has all the features I need, so I'm quite happy with it overall. On the downside, the case is pretty cheap and flimsy looking. It probably wouldn't hold up well if it was going to be moved around a lot. Mine just sits in the equipment rack behind doors, so it's out of sight and not an issue for me but that might be for you. Despite this, I think it's hard to beat this player considering the low price.

Great value in a bluray player, but dont buy it for BD-Live feature
got it from amazon, hooked it up using HDMI for the video and digital audio out for audio, since I wanted to use a spare digital audio input on my yamaha receiver. was glad I could do this and not have to buy a new receiver just for bluray LOL. I hooked up to my wireless router using 50ft cat5 network cable, since a wireless bridge would cost almost as much as the player did. I then updated the firmware from 1.9 to 2.2. I then installed the SD card (needed only for BD-Live feature) and hooked up the amazonBasics Hdmi & TosLink cables (these cable are also an excellent value).
Picture and sound are great. I have an existing 5.1 setup so didn't know or care about dolby or dts 7.1 trueHD. I like that the viera link feature switches my panasonic tv input to hdmi when I play a disc. However, if I turn on the player before the tv, it goes into some easy setup mode. Not a big bother, though.
bluray discs ( tried harry potter 6) are slower to load than dvds. The BD-Live feature (at least from warner) is slow, clunky and buggy. I was watching some harry potter content via BD-Live and suddenly it stopped and the player went back to the blu-ray background screen. what!? however, there was no freezing when loading or playing bluray discs. In all, a solid value, but dont buy it for the BD-Live feature.
Other things - I hear the successor model, DMP-BD65, has built-in wireless, however it may be more expensive initially. So get this DMP-BD60 before it's gone ...

Great Basic Player
I bought this player in December 2009. It plays Blu Ray discs and DVDs without a problem. Was easy to setup. Overall, this player is perfect for what I need. All I needed was a player to play Blu Ray discs and was not interested in any bells and whistles that other players may offer.

GREAT blu-ray player
I just love this blu-ray player. It syncs with my Panasonic television automatically, so inserting a DVD and playing it is a snap. With other players you must fiddle around with the input and output; with this one you just hit play, and the TV and player act as one. GREAT product

Perfect Player
I decided to try out Amazon's Warehouse Deals and purchase the Panasonic DMP-BD60 player at a reduced rate. New was about $129 and one of the units from Warehouse Deals in "Very Good" condition was $107. So after the purchase and receiving it in a slightly frazzled box, it looks and works just like new! You can't even tell the difference if you had a new one next to it. The first thing I did was update the firmware via ethernet connection and popped in a DVD to test it. Worked perfectly with a slight delay on starting the program from disk which is very common. Tried a music CD and also worked perfectly. Very pleased with my Blue-ray player and decision to try out Amazon's Warehouse Deals.
