Most Recent Customer ReviewsDate : 2010-03-09 Summary : Excellent purchase I am so happy I purchased this iron. I went to a friends house and she had one. After using it one time I knew I wanted to own one. And I am so glad I did. I don't even use starch anymore. This iron makes my shirts look amazing all by itself. I'm not a person that writes reviews but it was a great purchase!!
Date : 2010-03-08 Summary : Great iron! After reading the reviews on this iron I had some relunctance in purchasing one (heavy, detachable water compartment). However, I love this iron! I do a lot of sewing and I actually iron all my clothes so I use the iron constantly. The heaviness enhances the iron's ability to get all the wrinkles out without a lot of effort on my part. The detachable water compartment is so convenient - just take it to the sink and fill; no more having to take a container of water to the iron and hope you don't spill part of it on the ironing board. I also prefer the stainless soleplate to the teflon coated ones. I would highly recommend this product.
Date : 2010-03-01 Summary : Very good for $35 I bought this iron a week after purchasing a very poorly designed Black & Decker steam iron that I hated. For roughly the same price, this Panasonic iron is much more satisfying. The iron heats up quickly and generates lots of steam. I wish the water tank was larger, because I use the steam button pretty aggressively and I can run the tank down after ironing just two items. The retractable cord works very well and which will prevent this iron from being pulled down on to my daughter's head. The chart listing the settings for different fabric types in on the bottom for some reason, but I can live with that. This iron isn't perfect but I'm happy with my purchase.
Date : 2010-02-25 Summary : Good product with design flaw. Price is right I have lots of silk blouses that requires frequent ironing.
I bought this iron to replace my 10 year old model mostly because of the vertical ironing function with jet-of-steam. It works like charm on my silk blouses. I also like the push-button retractable cord reel for the sake on convenience.
I agree that the base is not stable. It causes some safety concern. Manufacturer should improve on it.
Date : 2010-02-08 Summary : Nice Iron I have had this iron for almost 2 months and like it a lot. It's easy to fill, heats up quickly and steams nicely. I have only one minor criticism. The tip of the iron is somewhat blunt as opposed to my previous iron which had a pointier tip. I do a fair amount of quilting and it's a bit more difficult to press seams but not impossible. I would definitely purchase it again in spite of this.
